There are many problem areas that Grout-Tech Grouting can help solve in residential construction. Often problems, even in upper floors, can be traced back to foundation and/or problems in the earth below the foundation.
Below is a picture of a home containing many of the elements of residential construction. Click on any part of the house or property shown to see a description of common problems that Grout-Tech can help with:

Grout-Tech has been providing quality cost effective services to our Residential clients longer than any other pressure grouting service in the Southeast.

PROBLEMS IN AND AROUND EAVES, ROOFS & WALLS
When cracks form around the eave or roof area in a home, or in a large part of a wall, this generally indicates settling in a substantial portion of the foundation. Another common problem is walls or other structural members such as fireplaces or columns tilting. These sorts of problems are most often caused by voids in the soil under the foundation, or a foundation that is insufficient for the soil conditions on which the structure is built.

DRIVEWAY & YARD PROBLEMS
When cracks form in driveways due to a depression in the soil, or sinkholes form in the yard of a home, this is an indication of soil problems under the surface. These sorts of problem are often caused by voids in the soil caused by decaying timber under the soil or subterranean erosion.

Luckily, with today's grouting technologies, these kind of problems can often be solved without having to re-do portions of the foundation or house structure itself. Grout-Tech offers the ability to help determine the exact cause such settling and a variety of solutions to not only prevent further settling, but can often raise the foundation back up to it's original position.

If you have problems that you feel could be caused by foundation settling, contact Grout-Tech and we will assist you in a quick resolution.

CRACKS IN & AROUND WINDOWS & DOORS
Any opening in the outer shell of a home creates stress points at it's sides. Cracks forming around windows are typical of this. The weight of the floors above, typically spread evenly through the floors and walls, must span the window and becomes concentrated at the sides of the window.

A flaw in the spot of the foundation, or the soil under it, where this concentrated weight is brought to bear can cause settling. This is most often due to a void under the foundation caused by settling earth, or decaying timber below the structure. It can also be caused by too small a foundation for the amount of weight brought to bear on it.

CRACKS IN & AROUND FIREPLACES AND STEPS
Fireplaces and steps produce a great concentration of weight which is borne upon a relatively small amount of foundation area. The most common problem is cracking in or around the chimney or steps themselves, or tilting of the structure in relation to the home. This is most often due to a void under the foundation caused by settling earth, or decaying timber below the structure. It can also be caused by too small a foundation for the amount of weight brought to bear on it.

Grout-Tech offers the ability to help determine the exact cause such settling and a variety of solutions to not only prevent further settling, but can often raise the foundation back up to it's original position.
